"Dave Fox's writing is hilarious. It's rare to find a person who has such unique stories to tell and can write about them to boot."

Become an Expert Travel Journaler as You Cross the Atlantic Ocean!

Take Writing Classes as You Travel the World!

Join award-winning author, humorist and travel journaling expert Dave Fox for a unique series of writing classes on a cruise across the Atlantic Ocean. We'll visit ports of call in Brazil, Cape Verde, Morocco, and Spain, writing and perfecting our travel journals as we go.

When the ship's in port, you'll be free to wander and explore these exciting destinations. On our days at sea, Dave will teach a series of fun and informative writing classes. Journalers of all skill levels are welcome. If you like, you may complete optional writing assignments based on the places we visit, meet other members from our group, share stories, and hone your writing skills. And of course, you'll also have plenty of time to enjoy and relax aboard our cruise ship, Oceania Cruise's Insignia. At the end of the journey, you'll have the option of contributing an essay or journal entry to a group journal, which will be published as a paperback book. Everyone who signs up will receive two free copies of the book.

Dave is partnering with Northwest Travel Service and Oceania Cruises to offer this exciting package. Brad at Northwest Travel has negotiated some fantastic rates for our group. This is what's known in the cruise industry as a "repositioning cruise." The cruiseline needs to move their ship to a different part of the world, so they have a couple of longer stretches at sea than usual. As a result, they sell space a lot cheaper than they do on many of their voyages. All of those sea days allow us the time we need to get in some great, in-depth instruction that will help you take your travel writing to a higher level.

Prices for inside cabins start at less than $3,000 per person based on double occupancy. That includes your airfare from most US cities to Rio de Janeiro, and home from Barcelona, as well as most of your meals and entertainment on board the ship. If you'd like something splurgier, even the most expensive penthouse suites top out at just $5,727 per person, double occupancy – again including round-trip airfare and meals on board. There are many other options at prices in between. All cabins are subject to availability, and the cheaper cabins are expected to sell out quickly.

What if you want to take Dave's journaling classes but your travel partner doesn't? No problem! Your partner can still come along for the ride. Rates are flexible, depending on whether one or both of you participate in the classes.
